Group of people sitting in a semi-circle having a discussion or reading together in a cozy room with gothic-style architecture at the back, some holding books or pamphlets, with a small table in the center with baked goods and mugs.

Try Alpha

It was a welcoming and relaxed environment where you are free to just come and be inquisitive. For me it was a great opportunity to come and discuss faith and its place in life without judgement or expectation. If you’ve ever asked or thought about life’s big questions, or if you’ve been through/are going through something challenging in your life then I would strongly recommend giving it a go. It has had a much greater and more far reaching affect on me, my life, my relationships and indeed happiness than I ever expected when I first signed up. Just give it a go!

Who is Alpha for?

Alpha is for anyone who’s curious. The fun, free and friendly sessions are designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in an open and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish.

What to expect?

Connection

Life is better together. Alpha brings together people from all walks of life who are curious about faith. Each session starts with some time to eat, relax and get to know your group.

Content

Each session covers a different topic of faith, either in a short talk or video. The Alpha episodes are designed to engage and inspire conversation. They’re about thirty minutes long and explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions such as Who is Jesus?, How can we have faith? and How does God guide us?

Conversation

The last part of an Alpha is a chance to share your thoughts on the session’s topic and discuss it in your small groups. It’s an open and welcoming environment, no matter what your opinion. There’s no pressure to say anything, but the floor is yours if you do want to.
